Protesters opposing the war between Israel and Hamas are arrested in Texas

He did not indicate how many students were suspended. He also did not say how suspensions would be carried out or whether suspended students would be expelled from campus.

Chang said that while the university appreciated students’ right to free speech, the camp was a “noisy distraction” which interfered with teaching and preparation for final exams. The protests also deeply disturbed some Jewish students, he said.

Protest organizers said they were not aware of any suspensions so far.
