Guatemala: Prosecutor Consuelo Porras rules out resignation and attacks Bernardo Arévalo

Porras told the president that is dedicated to “governance and stop blaming the Public Ministry”of the country’s problems.

“Stop lying to people, be serious, get to work“, he added in a strong tone, indicating that in almost five months of government he only implemented 10% of the national budget.

The prosecutor, on whom sanctions are imposed U.S and the European Union when considering “corrupt”, put the presidential transition into question by initiating legal actions in 2023 against the election of Arévalo and his Seed Matching.
