Israel claims to have killed suspected Hamas commander in northern Gaza tunnel

The army Israeli reported this Thursday in a statement that he killed Hussien Fiad, alleged commander of the Hamas Beit Hanoun battalion, in a tunnel in Jabalia, in the north of Gaza strip.

The note states that Fiad was one of those responsible for “launching a significant number of anti-tank missiles fired at Israeli territory” since the beginning of the Israeli offensive in the Palestinian enclave.

“The elimination of Fiad is part of our Army’s underground operational activity to locate tunnels and eliminate terrorists operating within them,” they added in the statement.

Hebrew troops resumed their attacks in the north of the enclave on May 12 under the premise that Hamas they would have regrouped again in that area.

This Thursday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza, controlled by Hamas, reported the deaths of 91 people following Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the war in the devastated Palestinian enclave to 35,800.
