Shooting at U.S. mall leaves 2 dead, 4 injured

Two people were killed and four others wounded in a shooting at a shopping mall in Boise, Northwest Idaho. USAthe police reported Monday.

The police arrived at the mall attending reports that “at least one person was shot and knocked down”Police Chief Ryan Lee informed reporters.

Officers exchanged shots with a man who had the same description they received in the emergency call. One of the policemen was injured.

The suspect was taken into custody and “there are no further threats to the community from this incident,” Lee confirmed.

“We cannot speak at this time about the motivations behind the incident, or anything else that could impact the investigation,” he added.

The New York Times reported that the two-story Boise Towne Square mall in Boise has more than 150 stores and restaurants.

The identities of the fatalities or the health status of the four injured were not disclosed.

Shootings are a big problem in the United States, where many argue that they are facilitated by relatively lax gun laws.
