Queen Elizabeth II will again attend a public event after several weeks of rest

The Queen isabel IIThe 95-year-old will attend a World War I memorial service this weekend, her first public appearance since she was hospitalized overnight three weeks ago.

The British sovereign has since been laid to rest on a voluntary recommendation and canceled her planned attendance at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow.

On the night of October 20, the monarch was admitted to the King Edward VII private center in London, where she was subjected to medical tests for an ailment of which no details have been disclosed.

Buckingham Palace, Elizabeth II’s official residence, confirmed on Thursday that the British head of state will be present on Sunday at the annual Remembrance Day ceremony.

“As in previous years, His Majesty will observe the ceremony from the balcony of the Foreign Office building”, in front of the Cenotaph monument on Whitehall Avenue in London.

The queen, however, will not attend the memorial service scheduled for the fallen next Tuesday, which will be attended by her son Edward, Earl of Wessex.

On Tuesday, the queen returned to her residence at Windsor Castle, west London, after spending the weekend at her country estate in Sandringham, eastern England.

Last week, British media published photos of Elizabeth II driving a Jaguar car near Windsor, wearing sunglasses and a headscarf.

Since the doctors recommended keeping her rest, the monarch limited her official commitments to “light work” from her residence, as indicated by the Palace.
