Newborn baby found in airplane toilet bin

A newborn baby was found by customs personnel abandoned in the toilet bin of a plane that had landed at the airport in Mauricio January 1st.

According to the BBC, a 20-year-old woman from Madagascar She was arrested after being identified as the suspect of having given birth in mid-flight.

The discovery of the baby was made during a routine inspection of the ship by customs personnel. They noticed that there was blood-stained toilet paper in the bathroom and when they opened the wastebasket they discovered the creature, which was immediately taken to a public hospital, the BBC reports.

The detained woman initially denied that the child was hers. But she underwent a medical examination that confirmed that she had just given birth, for which she was placed under police surveillance at the hospital.

Both she and the baby are fine.
