He went to get his things, found his ex-partner with his new girlfriend and killed him with a stab in the abdomen

A man was killed by a stab in the abdomen at his home in the Buenos Aires town of Gregorio de Laferrere and his ex-partner was arrested as a suspect, a 28-year-old girl who allegedly attacked him by surprising him with his current girlfriend, police and judicial sources reported today .

The incident occurred yesterday morning inside a house located in Varela at 4500, between Rocamora and Del Tejar, in the aforementioned town of the La Matanza district, in the west of the Buenos Aires suburbs. Police were alerted to the crime by a neighbor who called 911 and said a man had been wounded with a knife at a home in the area.

Members of the local branch went to the place, where they were informed that the owner of the house, identified as Jorge Gustavo Cabrera (35), had been transferred wounded from a stab to the Teresa Germani hospital, where he died before being assisted due to the serious injuries sustained to the abdomen.

At the house, the police also interviewed Cabrera’s current partner, identified as Jésica Eva Rodríguez. The woman said that she was lying next to the victim when they were surprised by his ex-partner.

Homicide

According to police sources, the alleged suspect, identified as Analía Belén Castillo (28), began to argue with Cabrera and attacked him with a knife at the scene. “The woman went to look for things at the house where they used to live together. There he found him (Cabrera) with his current partner in bed and started stabbing, “said a researcher consulted.

Likewise, it was reported that after fatally injuring Cabrera, Castillo quickly escaped from the scene without committing any physical assault on his ex’s partner.

For his part, the prosecutor Federico Medone, from the Functional Instruction Unit specialized in Homicides of La Matanza, appeared at the scene of the incident and ordered a series of proceedings to clarify the episode, while identifying Cabrera’s ex-partner as the alleged perpetrator of the crime, so her search began.

In the place, the blade that the aggressor allegedly used was found, for which she was kidnapped and will be examined by the Scientific Police by order of Medone.

After the work of the police personnel of the South Substation of La Matanza, in which different places that the suspect frequented were established, Castillo was located while walking through the intersection of Zufriategui and Carlos Casares streets, in the Altos de Laferrere neighborhood, where she was reduced and stopped.

On the other hand, a judicial source confirmed that there are no previous complaints between the accused and the victim. They also had no children in common and the relationship had ended a few months ago.

“There was a context of fights and mistreatment between them, but a complaint was never made,” said the same source of the investigation, who added that “there were many discussions and conflicts as a result of the jealousy” of the woman towards Cabrera .

Meanwhile, the victim’s body was sent to the La Matanza judicial morgue, where an autopsy was performed, which established that the man received a single stab wound in the abdominal area that caused his death.

Castillo was summoned to an investigation this morning by the prosecutor Medone, accused of the crime of “homicide aggravated by the use of a knife.” However, after holding an interview with his official defender, he made use of his right to refuse to testify. After that, the prosecutor Medone requested the formal arrest of the defendant before the intervening Court of Guarantees.
