Smoove and Zoov seal their union

The first manages in particular Vélib ‘in Paris, but also bicycles in Moscow, Vancouver or Lima. The second specializes in shared electric bikes, and operates in the south of the Paris region and in Bordeaux, among other activities: the two operators Smoove and Zoov announced their merger on Wednesday.

The new entity wants to ramp up in cities, medium or large, with or without stations to accommodate bicycles. Zoov’s technologies should allow the future entity to reduce “investment and operating costs”, explain the companies. In this context, “the Vélib ‘supply chain, already more than 60% French, will benefit from relocation actions”, she promises.
