According to Gianina Villavicenciomanager of Foreign Exchange Trading at Renta4 SAB, globally, the dollar lost positions amid uncertainty that the United States Federal Reserve (FED) will announce an increase in interest rates by 0.25 points this Wednesday.

On the other hand, he stated that gold prices rose as a safe haven asset “reaching its biggest daily rise in a month, amid declining bond yields and market uncertainty”said.

Likewise, according to the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS), the exchange rate for buying and selling on May 4 was S/ 3,716 and S/ 3,719 respectively.

Finally, on yesterday, May 4, the green ticket was valued at S/ 3.69 for purchase and S/ 3.72 for sale, according to the portal cuantoestaeldolar.pe.
