Work in Paris, live in the Haute-Seine: which city to choose? Our exclusive rating

For some it is “almost” Paris. It must be said that we may be wrong: some cities have a metro, others have a view of the Eiffel Tower, and in denser cities even a semblance of “Parisian life”. The Hauts-de-Seine department – not always cheaper than the capital – attracts a large number of Parisian workers. According to INSEE, more than 230,000 people live there while working in Paris, which is a record! Le Parisien lists the department’s most favorable municipalities in this case.

Le Parisien has compiled various criteria by which to judge the quality of life in the 36 communes of Vert-de-Seine: the proportion of houses among housing, the density of businesses, the presence of a sufficient number of doctors or nature. But that’s not all: since mobility is important, we calculated for each municipality the travel time by public transport (Transilien, RER and metro) and by car to the center of Paris (Les Halles), the number of metro stations. but also the density of bike paths in the city.
