Two deputies put forward their arguments

At Christmas, there are two camps: those who buy their gifts on Amazon and those who favor local businesses. EELV deputy Matthieu Orphelin and LREM deputy Roland Lescure put forward their arguments in this complex debate. For Matthieu Orphelin, we must boycott Amazon: “Amazon, in the conditions of its development today, organizes, in a certain way, the end of small businesses by imposing unfair competition on them. “Roland Lescure is not of this opinion:” We must ensure that small French businesses are digitized so that we can have competition on a similar ground between the big Amazon and the small ones. “

The LREM deputy recalls that purchases on Amazon represent only 2% of total trade in France. Matthieu Orphelin recalls that each job created by Amazon “automatically destroys between 2.2 and 4.5 jobs elsewhere in our territories. »Discover the arguments of the two deputies in the Amazon debate in the video of our partner Brut.
