“Avatar 2″: the sequel to the highest-grossing movie in history released its first trailer

After more than thirteen years of waiting, the sequel to “Avatar” has presented its first advance, which has a lot to tell.

Entitled “Avatar 2: The Way of Water,” early footage from the film indicates that many years have passed since Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) joined the Na’vi and managed to stop the exploitation of Pandora’s natural resources by Earth forces. In the following years, he and his partner Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) have managed to start a family and live peacefully, although without stopping preparing for the eventual return of the colonial forces.

It is this one that is shown in the images of the trailer, with a new expedition ready to dominate Pandora again. It should be noted that this time the conflict does not seem to be only between humans and blue aliens, since in some scenes other humans can be seen fighting for the independence of the planet.

This extends to Jake and Neytiri’s family, who also seem to have adopted a little human. What ties they will have and how this will influence the story, we will have to wait for the release of the film on December 16 of this year to find out.

The truth is that the film gives a lot to promise outside of its history, being a franchise that broke all box office records upon its release in 2009. If James Cameron’s sequel manages to achieve the same level of success, it will be something that generates the same or more interest than the plot of the film itself.
