Ashley Judd announces that her mother Naomi committed suicide

Ashley Judd has given details of her mother’s death. Singer Naomi Judd, one half of country duo The Judds, which she formed with her daughter Wynonna, died last month. His family had then mentioned an illness, without further details. But the actress Heat preferred to reveal the circumstances herself so that others would not take care of it and in the wrong way.

“I can tell you that she used a weapon. My mom used a gun,” Ashley Judd said in an interview for Good Morning America.

“It is information that we are very uncomfortable sharing, but we understand that we are in a position that leaves us no choice – if we do not say it, someone else will. do,” she added.

Trauma

Ashley Judd also details how she found her mother’s body while visiting her. After going out to greet a friend of the family at the door of the house, she went back up to her mother’s room, discovering a horrific scene.

“I went upstairs to let her know the friend was there and found her. I have both grief and trauma to have discovered her (…) She was clearly in pain. And in this situation, her days up to that point were torture for her,” the star clarified.

Naomi Judd suffered from depression for many years and she never really hid it, even writing a book, River of Time: My Descent into Depression. In recent years, his condition had worsened.

“It’s the catastrophic level of what was going on inside her… The lie that the disease was telling her was so convincing… The one that was telling her that you’re not worth enough, that you’re not loved, that you are not worthy. She hurt in the brain, she hurt physically,” said Ashley Judd, encouraging those who suffer from depression to seek help.
