“Roald Dahl’s Matilda: The Musical”: Netflix revealed the trailer and the first photos of his new movie

The film adaptation of the popular musical version of “Matilda by Roald Dahl“, of Tim Minchin It’s coming to Netflix this year. For now, the streaming company released the first official trailer and the first images of this new installment.

The film stars emma thompsonas Principal Trunchbull, an older woman who hates children, and Lashana Lynch as the teacher of good feelings: Miss Honey. For the role of Matilda, 11-year-old Alisha Weir is cast.

“Matilda” is the adaptation of the 2010 musical directed by Matthew Warchus, Tony winner and Olivier. It is also the second film adaptation of the novel, following the 1996 film adaptation directed by and co-starring Danny DeVito.

Additionally, comedian Sindhu Vee stars as Mrs. Phelps the librarian, Rei Yamauchi Fulker stars as Matilda’s best friend Lavender, Charlie Hodson-Prior stars as Bruce Bogtrotter, Meesha Garbett as Hortensia, and Winter Jarrett Glasspool as Amanda Thripp.
