“The maximum penalty”: trailer and poster for a film based on a novel by Santiago Roncagliolo are released

The Peruvian film “The Maximum Penalty”, based on the homonymous book by the Peruvian writer Santiago Roncagliolo, will reach the large screen in Lima next August 25.

The production company Shinkebenia premiered this Monday the first trailer and poster for the film directed by Michael Gomez. The film has actor Emanuel Soriano in the leading role, who will play Félix Chacaltana.

The actors Javier Valdés, Fiorella Pennano, Úrsula Mármol, Hernán Romero, Denisse Dibós, Ismael Contreras, Fernando Luque, Alfonso Dibós, Sergio Paris, Josué Cohello Y Augusto Mazzarelli They are also part of the cast of the film.

The making of this film occurred after the film project of the novel “La pena maxima” obtained first place in the National Feature Film Contest of Peru in 2018, which is delivered through the Audiovisual Direction, the Phonography and the New Media (SWOT) of the culture Ministry.

“The maximum penalty” owns a political thriller set in the year 1978. The cry of a goal drowns out the sound of a gunshot. While the whole of Peru cheers on the national team at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, in the midst of a military dictatorship, a complex and dangerous network of operations disappears people throughout the city and only a young and innocent worker from the Palace of Justice dares to investigate it.

It should be noted that the national feature film was presented at the film market screenings of the Cannes Film Festival in May.
