Daniela Mendieta was crowned Miss Teen Continental America International 2022

One more pride for Peru. Daniela Mendieta was crowned as Miss Teen Continental America International 2022 made in Mexico. The first runner-up position went to Kamila Colón from Puerto Rico, while the Mexican Katherine Morales was the second runner-up.

A magical night, full of beauty where the queens of the different countries participated, wearing the different typical costumes and gala dresses in which Daniela stood out among all her similar ones with a dress inspired by the diablada from Puno, created by the designer Shey Flores Cristancho.

“I am very proud to represent my country, showing the cultural richness of our typical dances to the world. Happy to wear a 100% Peruvian creation by the designer @sheymiatelier inspired by the Diablada Puneña”, expressed the Peruvian queen.

This is a youth contest, considered one of the most important contests in the American Continent, which began in 2019 and has the participation of candidates from different countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, among others.

Marina Mora, specialist in fashion and beauty, former Miss Peru, businesswoman and director of Marina Mora School, traveled with Daniela to Mexico to accompany her throughout this processbe aware of the costumes and makeup and advise her during the contest. “Daniela Mendieta represents the best version of the Peruvian woman”, he pointed.

He also highlighted the recognition that the jury gave the beauty queen for her social project “Empowerment of Native Women within Community Tourism, closing the gaps of gender inequality through economic independence”which he exhibited at an empowerment forum organized by the contest.

“As queen I work together with my organization in the empowerment of women within Community Tourism”explained Daniela Mendieta.
