“Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantummania”: Kang the conqueror dominates the first trailer of the film

Marvel released a new trailer for its long-awaited film “Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantummania”, a film starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly that will serve as a cornerstone of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, introducing the villainous Kang the conqueror.

The trailer, which was first shown at the D23 Expo event, shows the first images of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), a villain with the ability to travel through time and space introduced in the Disney+ series “Loki” that he will become the equivalent of Thanos in this new series of films.

While there are still few details about the film, it has been revealed that this new Marvel adventure directed by Peyton Reed will take Scott Lang (Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Lilly) on an adventure through the Quantum Realm, a subatomic dimension where the Time and space are irrelevant and it allows you to perform actions such as time travel.

Joining them on the adventure are Hope’s parents, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), as well as Scott’s daughter, Cassandra Lang, now played by actress Kathryn Newton.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantummania” begins Phase 5 of the Cinematic Universe, which will culminate in Phase 6 with the already announced films “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars”, to be released in May 2025 and 2026 respectively. Meanwhile, the third “Ant-Man” adventure will be released in the United States on February 17, 2023.
