Nicholas Brendon arrested after using forged prescription

Nicholas Brendon seems to be having a hard time getting out of the addiction. Xander’s role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer was arrested last week in Indiana as he was visibly driving erratically. When the police asked for his papers, the actor handed them an ID card with Kelton Schultz’s name, explaining that it was his “twin brother”, as reported by TMZ. Nicholas Brendon has three brothers: his twin Kelly Donovan, and two younger ones, Christian and Kyle Schultz.

The police decided to search his vehicle. They found there “a small plastic bag containing powder residue” and a drug prescribed for a certain “Nicholas Bender”. The police then suspected drug trafficking, the interior of the car, however new, with parts of the trim cut out. They came across other small plastic bags with powder residue.

A prescription for amphetamine was then discovered. It was in the name of Kelton Schultz and had been used earlier today. According to the police report, Nicholas Brendon admitted to taking the amphetamines that were not prescribed for him. The actor was arrested for failing to identify and defrauding to obtain a medical prescription. He is charged with prescription fraud and has since been released.

The actor has been on parole since last year, and for a period of three years, after being convicted of domestic violence. In 2015, he had already pleaded guilty to similar facts about his companion at the time. After three more arrests that same year – for offenses related to his consumption of psychotropic drugs, Nicholas Brendon had entered rehab.
