New generation of Doradas de la Salsa debuts in Lima and aims for internationalization

The new generation of the girl group Golden Sauce, made its official debut in Lima this Thursday, September 28. The group, made up of Melanie Rose, Cindy Sotelo, Karla Zapata, Esthephany Valenzuela and Indira Orbegoso, commented that they will perform at the Rústica restaurant chain in three locations in Lima.

“It is a nice project that after a long preparation is now a reality, we all have the mentality of not only being another group of the amount, but of becoming a reference of salsa for the public in our country and also at the level international”, Cindy Sotelo said. “We are working hard to achieve it,” he added later.

In their first statements to the press, the members of Doradas de la Salsa expressed their desire to follow in the footsteps of Daniela Darcourt, a singer nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards and become a reference for Peruvian salsa internationally.

“Daniela has been leaving the name of Peru in something very important, she has demonstrated her talent and her goal of succeeding abroad. In our case we also want our work to be recognized in other countries, that is why we are going to work hard and evenly to achieve our objectives,” Sotelo explained.

The artists also highlighted the talent of Michelle Soifer and Yahaira Plasencia, who have inspired them in their musical career. “Michelle Soifer is a great teacher,” said Indira Orbegoso. “Yahaira Plasencia is a friend who has always supported us,” said Karla Zapata. “He is an example of discipline and hard work.”

In addition, Las Doradas de la Salsa plan to continue their presentations in Lima on September 29 in Los Olivos and on the 30th in Lince. The group also has plans to tour the interior of the country and, in the future, reach other Latin American countries.
