Taiwanese television broadcasts music by Lenin Q-Pop, creator of Quechua pop

The Peruvian singer and producer Lenin Tamayoknown by his stage name Lenin, Amor y Libertad and as the creator of Q-Pop, a musical genre that fuses Korean pop with Andean music, continues to achieve international success.

Recently, Tamayo was recognized by a Taiwanese television channel for his work and fusion of rhythms, who visited Peru and made a report on the artist.

In addition, the artist has received the support of UNESCO Peru and the Korean ambassador in Peru.

“With my family, my urpys and my work team we have a lot of fun and I share my steps with them, and the most important thing is to transmit our Andean culture,” he commented.

The singer will also participate in the K-pop Fest 2023, the most important event of this genre in Lima. Tamayo will be the only Peruvian artist at the festival, which will take place on November 17 at the Centro Cultural Deportivo Lima in Chorrillos.

Locally, Tamayo successfully released his first album, “Amaru,” and was the protagonist of a documentary about his life and beginnings in music.

Tamayo is the son of the prominent contemporary Andean music performer, Yolanda Pinares. “She has a lot to do with this accomplished work and even my love for our language, culture and exporting what is ours”noted the artist.
