Voice actor James McCaffrey has passed away at age 65 after a battle with cancer. The American died on Sunday, December 17, along with friends and family, TMZ reported.

According to the aforementioned media, McCaffrey died of multiple myeloma that he was diagnosed with.
For those who don’t remember, James McCaffrey was the voice of Max Payne in the popular video game saga of the same name, Alex Casey in the recent Alan Wake 2 and Zachariah Trench in Control.
In addition to being part of the world of video games as a voice actor, McCaffrey also participated in television series such as Rescue Me, where he played Jimmy Keefe between 2004 and 2001, and in films such as American Splendor, Blind, The Big Take and more .

“McCaffrey had a successful 35-year career in television and film. Trained at the Actor’s Studio, he never lost his love for creating characters; However, his good looks often pushed him toward leading roles.”, said his representative.
On social media, his friend and actor Kevin Dillon was one of the first personalities to publish about McCaffrey’s death.
