Beyoncé will receive the Innovation Award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards

American singer Beyonce will receive the Innovation Award at the 2024 edition of the iHeartRadio Music Awards at the gala to be held on April 1 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles (California).

This was announced this Thursday by iHeartMedia and FOX Entertainment after the singer shared a few days ago, on social networks, that on March 29 she will publish ‘Act II: Cowboy Carter’, her new album with which she ventures into country music.

The Texan had announced that she would have a new album since last February 12 when she took advantage of a Super Bowl advertising space to shock her followers.

This project is the “second act” of her album ‘Renaissance’, released in 2022, of which so far, the 42-year-old pop star has presented the songs ’16 Carriages’ and ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ in advance of the premiere definitive of the album.

Thanks to ‘Renaissance’, in 2023 the singer broke the record as the artist with the most Grammys in history, accumulating 32 throughout her career.

Beyoncé will receive the award for her influence on pop culture and for last year’s groundbreaking Renaissance World Tour at a gala hosted by rapper Ludacris and featuring artists including Justin Timberlake, Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and Tate McRae.

Beyond the innovation award, the Houston (Texas) native earned five nominations at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards: R&B Artist of the Year, R&B Song of the Year for ‘Cuff It’, Favorite Tour Style, Best ‘Army of fans’ and on-screen favorite for ‘Renaissance: A Beyoncé Movie’.

The record for nominations goes to singer Taylor Swift with a total of nine, followed by Jelly Roll, SZA and 21 Savage with eight and Olivia Rodrigo with seven.

Fans can vote in some of the categories – including best music video, best lyrics or favorite debut album – until March 25 on the awards website.

Another artist who will be awarded at the event of these awards will be the Californian singer Cher, in her case, the considered ‘Goddess of Pop’ will receive the iHeartRadio icon award.
