Because of her eczema, she had red and inflamed skin all over her body, which often oozed, cracked, and bled.

“The pain and suffering became too much to bear,” she said.

“Fortunately, my husband has always pulled me out of the wreckage and reminded me of the love I have for my family and my grandchildren.”

Janelle’s lips became swollen and flaky, and she even lost her hair, including her eyelashes.

The pain was so severe that she could not hug her husband, children and grandchildren.

She stopped taking steroids in 2014 when she felt they weren’t working, but that started a new battle for the next five years – battling the painful symptoms of local steroid withdrawal.

This is a reaction that occurs when someone stops using steroids after a very long time.

“My biggest support came from my husband who went through hell on a daily basis and was always there for me and brought me food in the bathtub after I worked 10 to 12 hours away from the pain,” she said.

Janelle’s excruciating pain left her overwhelmed and suicidal – until she finally turned to an expert for help.

She began following the concept of “no fluid therapy,” in which patients reduce or even stop bathing altogether and reduce the amount of water they need to just a quart or two a day — including the water ingested through food.

After ten long months, she finally saw the benefits and gained control over her withdrawal symptoms.

Janelle doesn’t follow the therapy “to the core” but does a similar form that has helped her.

She added, “I’m more into dehydration, or MW, where I stopped bathing and using lotion or oil on my skin.

“I also use body cleansing wipes, which contain silver and remove bacteria from my skin, to clean my body and I wash my hair in the sink.”
