Ica Harvest Festival 2024: everything you need to know about its new edition

“To the rescue of tradition and identity”is the motto that will have this 2024 Ica International Harvest Festivalan event that develops a series of activities that seek to praise Ica culture, highlighting tourist, agricultural, gastronomic, artistic, musical and cultural attractions.

During the presentation conference of the 59th edition of the festival organized by the Provincial Municipality of Ica, it was announced that this 2024 the projection is to receive more than 150 thousand tourists during the days that the event lasts, which will have a program of 40 activities.

The Ica International Harvest Festival will take place from Friday, March 1 to Sunday, March 10.

The Ica harvest will develop its programming at the regional level with the harvest in Nasca from March 18 to 24 and the Harvest in Paracas on March 22 and 23.

In this way, we seek to have a full calendar in March that consolidates what is currently the second most visited tourist destination in Peru: Ica.

The Ica Harvest will begin on Friday, March 1 with a great traditional parade.

From that date, the traditional grape crushing will also be developed.

These are other notable activities of the festival:

• The Vendimia serenade will be led by national artist Susan Ochoa and the musical group Los Kipus.
• Theatricalization of the harvest in the Regional Print Competition.
• National Painting Competition.
• Regional Festival of Decimas.
• Song Festival.
• Ica Food Contest and Festival.
• Alfredo Elías Vargas Paso Horse Competition

The end of the festival will be on March 10 with the traditional parade.

These are the activities by date and their times.

Friday March 1 | Start of the Ica Harvest

• 3:00 pm: Start of the Grand Opening Parade FIVI 2024, whose motto will be “The Colors of the Harvest”. This parade will begin in the Plaza de Armas of Ica, continue along San Martín Avenue and end at the Campo Ferial.
• 6:00 pm: Route of the wine presses of the Don Benjamín Winery. Attendees will be able to discover the wine and pisco production process.
• 7:00 pm: Inauguration of the Expo FIVI 2024 painting exhibition at the Campo Ferial. This event will feature the traditional grape stomping, a festive event that celebrates the beginning of grape processing for wine production.

Saturday March 2

• 10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Agricultural Fair at the Campo Ferial.
• 2:00 pm: National Sailor Competition at the Fairgrounds.
• 5:00 pm: Children’s show “Canticuentos FIVI 2024”. It will be presented by Fabulinka at the Fairgrounds.
• 6:00 pm: Presentation of the international artist Fito Balarezo (Ecuador) at the Campo Ferial.
• 6:00 pm: FIVI Song Festival 2024 Semifinals at the UTP Auditorium.
• 7:00 pm: Wine press route at the Paraíso Iqueño Winery.
• 7:00 pm: Acoustic performance by local bands at the Campo Ferial.

Sunday March 3

• 10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Agricultural Fair at the Campo Ferial.
• 12:30 pm: Wine press route at the Tres Generaciones Winery.
• 1:00 pm: Creole music show at the Campo Ferial.
• 5:00 pm: Children’s show “Canticuentos FIVI 2024”. It will be presented by Miss Romina at Mega Plaza. The awarding of the FIVI 2024 Logo Contest will also take place.
• 7:00 pm: Acoustic performance by local bands at the Campo Ferial.
