The postcard she uploaded shows the woman holding out the goal-scorer’s jersey in front of the Supreme Pontiff, who stretches out his hands to receive a meaningful gift.

The Pope and Lionel Messi

From the Portuguese, through his mother, he received one. With the Argentine, through an intermediary, he dedicated a message to him.

Emmanuel Gobilliard, bishop of Lyon, visited the PSG footballer to give him the shirt of the Vatican Athletica club. The garment had a message inscribed on it from his compatriot and, in this way, he returned the gesture. Last October, Leo Messi sent his jersey with the number 30 to the Pope with the French minister Jean Castex.
