Municipal-University: the League 1 match will be played with two fans in Villa El Salvador

After being eliminated from the Copa Libertadores, Universitario de Deportes is fully involved in League 1. Thus, on matchday five, the merengue team will visit Deportivo Municipal at the Iván Elías Moreno stadium. Precisely, the ‘Ediles’ announced an important novelty in relation to the duel in Villa El Salvador.

“The match this Saturday, March 5 against Universitario de Deportes will be played with both fans, so a security plan has been prepared, together with the PNP, to safeguard and protect the integrity of all attendees”says the statement released through the social networks of the commune team.

In this sense, Municipal has addressed all the spectators who will arrive at the colossus to witness the duel that the good atmosphere prevails. “We make a special call to the fans in general to make this match a great football party”concludes the official note of the ‘Fringe’.

The capacity allowed for the duel against the students will be 80% (more than 10,000 people), according to Arlington Atarama, head of marketing for the club. In a conversation with Radio Ovación, the ‘Muni’ representative revealed that there was an opportunity to play at the National Stadium, but there was a preference for Villa El Salvador.

“We had the great possibility of playing in the National Stadium, but we have a great strategy to retain Villa El Salvador fans, even if they have less capacity, we want this to be our home, regardless of the rival”expressed Atamara on the station. “The public can enter from noon, hats and glasses are allowed”added on the conditions.

The ‘Muni’ will enter the game against the ‘creams’ after getting three wins and one loss. The nine points they added in the tournament were thanks to beating Ayacucho FC, Binacional and ADT.
