Paraguay presented its squad from abroad to face Peru and Ecuador

Without options to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar, the Paraguayan team already has its list of summoned from foreign leagues for the last double round of Qualifying. Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto made a list of nineteen elements, with the novelty of Matías Galarza, from Vasco da Gama.

The 20-year-old player will join the ‘Albirroja’ squad that will receive Ecuador on March 24 and will face Peru five days later.

In addition, in the list of those summoned from abroad, the brothers Óscar and Ángel Romero, Roberto Fernández, Andrés Cubas, Sebastián Ferreira and Blas Riveros stand out, who return to the national team, according to the Paraguayan Football Association (APF).

Within the call, the team’s referents remain, such as the defender Gustavo Gómez, from the Brazilian Palmeiras, and the midfielder Miguel Almirón, from the English Newcastle, and the Valencia defender, Omar Alderete, this time the only representative of the Spanish league.

The match with Ecuador will take place at the Antonio Aranda stadium, in Ciudad del Este. On that date, the ‘Tri’ of Argentine coach Gustavo Alfaro hopes to get his ticket to Qatar, for which a draw would suffice.

On March 29, Paraguay, the red-and-white cast will face Peru at the National Stadium in Lima. With that match, the Guarani will say goodbye to the South American Qualifiers.
