Arturo Vidal smokes a cigar during the celebrations for the Copa Libertadores title | VIDEO

Flamengo’s celebrations continue after winning the 2022 Copa Libertadores. On this occasion, the players moved the celebrations to the locker room of the Banco Pichincha Monumental Stadium, as was demonstrated in the live broadcast made by Arturo Vidal.

The ‘King’ was recorded at the precise moment that he was smoking a cigar before the songs of his teammates in the same style as former basketball player Michael Jordan. The soccer player greeted each of the members of his team and shows that they have a great time after beating Paranaense (1-0).

Minutes before, the Chilean midfielder celebrated with a can of beer and jumping in the dressing rooms. Rodinei even bathed in liquor and unleashed the laughter of the team led by Dorival Júnior.

In this way, Arturo Vidal celebrates his second trophy since he arrived at Flamengo. A few weeks ago, he was crowned champion of the Brazil Cup after beating Corinthians in the final.

It should be noted that, according to ESPN statistics, the “King” became the most successful Chilean soccer player by adding 25 titles throughout his career. Arturo won the Copa América twice with his team. The local trophies that he won with Colo Colo stand out, in his country, Juventus and Inter Milan in Italy, Bayern Munich in Germany and Barcelona in Spain.

Arturo Vidal shares his emotion after winning the Copa Libertadores: “A dream comes true for me”

After the victory (1-0) against Paranaense, ‘King’ broke down in tears in the middle of the ‘Mengao’ celebrations. There was an attempt to console him, but the situation got the better of the southerner, who buried his gaze on the grass and used his shirt to dry himself.

Later, Arturo calmed down and expressed his emotion before the cameras. “Today a dream comes true. I said it when I arrived at Flamengo, that I wanted to win this Cup. I am grateful to the people here, to my teammates and to the people who came to support us”he declared to ESPN.

On the other hand, the player, who has a link with the Brazilian cast until December of next year, stressed that he still does not have in mind to return to Chilean football. “I have immense affection for the people of Flamengo. I hope to continue here for a long time”he pointed.

“Since I started playing football I wanted to win important trophies. I am very happy, I have contracts here, and I hope to continue. (…) With this team we are all going to win”he added.
