While Paris has qualified to host the 2024 Olympics, we invite you to discover the venues where the events will take place.
- Venue: National Velodrome
Originally designed for the 2012 Olympics, the National Velodrome was opened in 2014 in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. This is a new venue for track cycling, for which the 2015 World Championship was organized, and BMX with a covered and illuminated track. It will remain in place after the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- Sports: track cycling, BMX and modern pentathlon.
The venue will host all of the British-dominated track cycling events at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, as well as BMX. It will also be the venue for modern pentathlon fencing competitions.
- Spectator capacity
The National Velodrome has a capacity of 5,000 seats. The BMX Pit can accommodate 7,000 spectators.
- Condition of equipment: built, redevelopment is planned
The installation has already been completed. Only the BMX track will be redesigned for the Olympics.
