Sebastián Abreu after defeat against Alianza Lima: “It was a clear penalty. Hopefully the VAR ends with this “

The 2-0 victory of Lima Alliance about Cesar Vallejo University at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium, leaves the ‘intimate’ team as the only leader in Liga 1, five points ahead of Universitario de Deportes, their main pursuer. But not everyone is happy with the result and with the arbitration, one of them is Sebastián Abreu, coach of the ‘poets’.

In the 45th minute of the first half, when the score was still tied at 0-0, Ricardo Lagos did not allow Renzo Garcés to uncheck by pulling his shirt in the ‘blue and white’ area. The Vallejo footballer fell in the area claiming the penalty, but the referee Sebastián Lozano did not whistle the maximum penalty.

After the meeting, at the press conference, Abreu was dissatisfied with the arbitration and pointed out the need to implement video arbitration.

“It was a clear penalty. We are not sparring. Then we lose and we are the ones who kick us out. The referees err in favor of the big guys here and everywhere, but it’s time to speak up. I hope that with the VAR this ends ”, he affirmed.

Likewise, the coach of the Trujillo team did not stop praising the work done by his managers. In addition, he highlighted a point to improve.

“We position ourselves well, when it comes to having the ball we circulate it well and we create goal chances. We lacked the efficiency that is the differential of any game. I am not happy because it was not won. I am calm because in terms of football, the team lived up to these types of demands, ”he declared.
