Alianza Lima imposes a sanction on Christian Cueva and affirms that it will respect the contract that binds them

The absence of Christian Cueva in the Alianza Lima training sessions last Monday caused a shock in the institution. So the club, at the time, announced that it would investigate the case and impose sanctions on the 32-year-old. Finally the day came.

“After the investigations carried out on the Christian Cueva case, the club has proceeded to apply an administrative sanction to the footballer according to the seriousness of the offense committed and as established in the internal regulations,” the statement read.

The ‘intimate’ club would punish Cueva with a fine that would subtract up to 50% of his salary, as dictated by the institution’s disciplinary code.

Likewise, Alianza Lima confirmed that “the footballer’s contract will be respected until the last day of it.”
