The Honduras coach, Colombian Reinaldo Rueda, called up 26 players this Friday for the Concacaf League matches on October 12, as a visitor, against Cuba and on the 17th, at home.

Within the group of those called up by Rueda, 13 players play in foreign clubs and 13 belong to Honduran league teams. Among the new additions to the Colombian coach’s squad are: Alberth Elis, Romell Quioto, Bryan Róchez, Rigoberto Rivas and Kervin Arriaga.

The Honduran team will visit Cuba in the Dominican Republic on October 12, and will receive it three days later at the José de la Paz Herrera Stadium in Tegucigalpa.

After two disputed dates, Honduras is third in group B of League A of the Concacaf Nations League with 3 points, behind Cuba and Jamaica who have 4.

The first two in this group will advance to the round of eight along with the first in key A and the four pre-classified by the FIFA rankings: Canada, United States, Mexico and Costa Rica.

In the 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League, the bottom two teams in the six-team groups in League A will be relegated to League B, while the bottom of each of the League B groups will be relegated to League C. .
