Argentina beat Peru 2-0 at the National Stadium in Lima by the Qualifiers and the Peruvian fans had a particular devotion to the albiceleste number 10 Lionel Messi.
Since hours before this match, dozens of fans were wearing the ‘La Pulga’ shirt in the streets of the capital, and even confessed that they wanted a rival victory for Messi.
But the most curious, striking and even surprising thing happened during the same match in our first sporting venue.
And after one of Messi’s goals against the red and white team, the fans chanted his name and even bowed from their seats.
???? ???????????????? After one of Messi’s goals, these chants were heard coming not only from Argentines, but also from Argentina.

Argentina is comfortably in first place in the table with a perfect score, while Peru is second to last with just 1 point out of 12 possible.
Peru will face Bolivia in La Paz and then host Venezuela in Lima on the next double date in November.
