You may have already seen them on the Place de la République in Paris, on Place Stanislas in Nancy or on the streets of Toulouse. Very young cyclists raced at full speed on the wheel, standing on the saddle, reclining, with one hand on the asphalt.
They are all fans of Bike Life, a cycling subculture that has become increasingly visible in France since 2018.
We met one of the pioneers of this movement, which is reviving the practice of urban cycling in major cities in France.
YouTuber Aimane Minard, better known as Bikelife Drz, is only 19 years old and manages to organize meetings of several hundred teenagers in Nancy. We followed this cheeky YouTuber to one of his big meetings in Lorraine, right in the heart of French Bike Life.
