Hernan Barcosone of the leaders of Alianza Lima, took the opportunity to visit the concentration of his former team, LDU of Quitowhich is in the capital to face Universitario de Deportes.
“I hope he wins the League comfortably. I know it is not going to be an easy game because Universitario has a good team, but I think the League is superior,” he told the media.
‘El Pirata’ wore the alba shirt in the first period in 2010 and 2011, and then returned and played in 2017 and 2018.
He is the club’s second top scorer with 91 goals and was national champion twice, in addition to winning the Recopa Sudamericana trophy in 2010.
“They are always in my heart, I always think about the League. I am left with the good, the best, and the greatness of this club that is, by far, the largest in Ecuador,” said Barcos.
“Let’s hope one day to return, I don’t know how, but to return,” he added.
LDU visits Universitario tonight at the start of Group D of the Copa Libertadores 2024 from 9:00 pm at the Monumental stadium.
