University vs. LDU: what is the Hyundai car that was exhibited at the Monumental Stadium?

During the meeting between University of Sports and LDU for the Conmebol Libertadores Cup, Hyundai exhibited one of its vehicles near the north stand of the Monumental Stadium. Since not everyone knows about the Korean firm’s electrified range, here we tell you about the characteristics of the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

The Ioniq 5 is a 100% electric vehicle and has been present in Peru since the middle of last year. It is available in two versions and its price starts at US$64,990.

The Ioniq 5 is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor that generates 160 kW (215 hp) and 350 nm, associated with a single-speed electric transmission. It has a battery capacity of 72.6 kW/h with type 2 connector that offers a range of up to 507 km.

Its body is of the SUV type and due to its dimensions it competes in the medium SUV category. It measures 4,635 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,605 mm high. On the outside, it sports a futuristic and minimalist design, where the set of front and rear lights stand out.

Inside it has ample space to accommodate five passengers. In addition, it offers premium SUV equipment and this is reflected in the multiple amenities such as electric seats, leather upholstery, ambient lights, Bose audio system, sunroof, 12.3″ touch screen, among others. All of these elements continue the minimalist pattern of the exterior.

Finally, in terms of safety, it offers six airbags, ISOFIX anchors, reinforced chassis, 360° camera, ABS + EBD brakes, as well as a driving assistance package.
