This Saturday, April 6, Kimberly García won a new gold medal, and this time, she broke a record in the tournament. The Peruvian made the time (1:27:08) and obtained the gold medal in the 20 km women’s walking test at the 92nd Poděbrady Walking 2024. She surpassed the Ecuadorian Glenda Morejon which he did in time (01:27:21) and the Italian way, Antonella Palmisano (01:27:27).
After winning the gold medal, Kimberly stated the following: “I am very happy to have achieved first place. It is the first time I come to Podebrady, I really liked the route, the weather was a little hot, it seems to me that the previous years it was colder, I thought it would be the same, but I felt very good in the test.”
Then he referred to his participation in the Olympic Games, Paris 2024: “We are doing very well, the goal is the Olympic Games and we are going with everything. These competitions are preparatory to arriving in Paris very well.”
