VIDEO. “We accelerate to 60 km/h in less than two seconds”: in BMX with the best French athletes

Worlds before the Olympic Games. The best French BMX Racing riders are preparing for the World Championships in Rock Hill (USA) from May 12 to 18. Clearly they have the Paris Games in the back of their minds. Because these World Championships are decisive in the fight for Olympic selection, where among men there are six to three places (Romain Mahier, Joris Daudet, Arthur Pilar, Jeremie Rencurel, Leo Garoyan and Sylvain Andre).

100 days before these Olympic Games, in which the qualifiers will compete at home on the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines circuit, Axel Etienne, Romain Mieu, Joris Daudet and Arthur Pilar told us about their discipline, incredibly spectacular… but not without risk.

Just like the start, which Joris Daudet, who will compete in his 4th Olympic Games in Paris, summed it up as follows: “There are starting gates that fall, and every man for his own skin.” See our report at the beginning of the article.
