Denmark national team qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup after eighth win

The Qatar 2022 World Cup is meeting its first qualifiers, who arrive from Europe. During the last Monday, Germany managed to secure their ticket and this Tuesday it was the turn of the Denmark team, which continues to shine in the Qualifiers, after achieving their eighth consecutive victory.

On Date 8 of Group F, the Danish side had two options to secure the top spot in the standings: beat Austria or hope Scotland don’t beat the Faroe Islands. It was evident that they were going to seek their classification on their own merit, a task that they finally achieved in an adjusted way.

The actions against the Austrian national team were even, but Joakim Maehle managed to break the parity on the scoreboard in the 53rd minute. During the remaining time, the duel went back and forth, but there were no more alterations in the result.

In this way, those led by Kasper Hjulmand reached 24 points and are mathematically unattainable for Scotland (17 units) in the absence of two dates in the qualifying process. After the news broke, joy exploded among the players and fans present at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.

The Denmark team will play its sixth World Cup and sign up as one of the competition’s animators, after showing a great footballing level in the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers and also in the last European Championship 2021. Let us remember that in Russia 2018 they reached the eighth of final.

Denmark and its impressive numbers

Denmark’s qualification is not a coincidence, given that throughout the UEFA Qualifiers they have shown defensive solidity and an overwhelming attack: they have 27 goals for and none against. Andreas Skov Olsen and Joakim Maehle are the leading gunners, with four touchdowns each.
