Ureña’s providential save to avoid Junior’s second goal at the Monumental

At the end of the first half, and when additional time was being played, Junior de Barranquilla was close to scoring the second goal against Universitario de Deportes, but the Chilean Rodrigo Ureña, one of the strongholds of the Peruvian team, had a providential intervention to prevent that a Colombian player shoots at the goal in an unbeatable position.

Junior had a counterattack after a corner kick from the ‘U’ that could not be taken advantage of, and it was precisely at the end of this play that Ureña, after a good run and on the verge of committing a foul, blocked the ball and prevented a rival player can shoot in front of goalkeeper Sebastián Britos.

The first half ended with a partial result of 1-1.

Bryan Castrillón went ahead for the Colombians at 4 minutes, while Edison Flores tied for the creams at 24′.

As recalled, both teams tied 1-1 in the first leg played at the Metropolitano stadium in Barranquilla, for the second date of Group D of the Copa Libertadores.
