The other semi-final match will be between Egyptians Ali Farag and Tarek Momen.

It is worth mentioning that Diego Elías participated in the contest from the round of 16, a stage in which he was able to defeat Englishman George Parker by 11-8 and 11-3. Paul Coll, his next rival, also had a similar path and beat the Egyptian Youssef Soliman by 11-6 and 11-3.
