Apple is considered the most valuable brand in the world

Manzana Y Google are the two most valuable brands in the world, the electronic giants have ousted the multinational e-commerce company Amazon, according to the study of the 100 best firms in the world, published each year by the consulting firm Kantar.

According to the seventeenth edition of the list published annually by Kantar, Apple has increased its valuation by 55% compared to the previous year to reach 947,062 million dollars, which allows him to move up one position and take the first place.

For its part, Google also improves one place from the previous year’s ranking after increasing its brand value by 79%reaching 819,573 million dollars.

Amazon, which in the last edition was the most valuable company in the world, falls two positions on the list despite the fact that its value 3% increase up to 705,646 million dollars.

Regarding the Spanish presence in the classification, Zara, the flagship brand of the Inditex textile group, continues to be the only national company that is among the hundred most valuable companies on the planet.

Specifically, the brand value of Zara, which remains in position 83 for another year, has grown by 19% in the last year to stand at 25.4 billion dollars.

The top ten positions in the index are completed by Americans Microsoft (4), McDonald’s (6), Visa (7) and Facebook (8), the Chinese Tencent (5) and Alibaba (9), and the French luxury firm Louis Vuitton (10), the first European company in the classification.

Despite the current uncertainty, the combined value of the world’s 100 most valuable brands has increased by 23% from the previous year, reaching $8.7 trillion.

In this sense, 37 brands have been able to improve their position compared to a year ago, in a ranking in which more than 75% of the companies present in it are American.

Among them, the consultant highlights the behavior of the American vehicle manufacturer Tesla, who advances from position 47 to 29, thanks to the growth of the electric vehicle market worldwide.
