Most Metaverse users do not return to the platform after the first month

Users of the metaverse they are not returning to the platform after their first month, according to internal documents. According to The Wall Street Journal, Horizon Worlds “does not live up to expectations”, according to the same participants.

Even the goal of 500,000 monthly users by the end of 2022 has changed to 280,000. “While Mr. Zuckerberg has said that the transition to a more immersive online experience will take years, the company’s flagship metaverse offering for consumers, Horizon Worlds, falls short of internal performance expectations”, he adds.

This is reflected in the few numbers that the platform has in users who return to use it after its first 30 days: only 9% of the worlds built by users are visited by at least 50 people. “Most Horizon Worlds visitors usually don’t come back after the first month; ‘an empty world is a sad world’“, Add.
