The company LG Electronics exhibits this week, during the CES 2023, the world’s largest technology fair, its new generation of smart refrigerators. The MoodUP models stand out because their doors integrate panels that change color.

In this way, users can customize the colors of their appliance depending on their kitchen décor or even the occasion or mood. They can even set a “party mode”.

The panel of MoodUP refrigerators includes several color options. For example, the four-door French Door model reaches 190,000 color combinations. Among them, LG highlights the Viva Magenta color, which is the result of a collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute.

The configuration and establishment of these colors is done by the prior linkage of the appliance with smartphones through the LG ThinQ app. For users who prefer it, the LED panels of the refrigerator doors can be turned off, or put in white, gray or black colors, with this a more traditional look is achieved.

The appliance also integrates a speaker, so you can play sound via bluetooth. In addition, as is already a constant in this type of productincludes the InstaView function that makes it possible to see inside the refrigerator by simply tapping twice with the knuckles on the outer glass.

“We launched the LG ThinQ UP project. For eight years we already have LG ThinQ smart features. However, what we have with UP is that it makes it possible for compatible appliances and devices to stay up-to-date in both software and hardware.”said Daniel Aguilar, Director of Corporate Communication at LG Electronics Mexico.

And I add: “If there is some hardware that can be changed to have that update, we will change those pieces of hardware, to update the equipment and so that it does not lose validity. This is very important because we will make the appliances last much longer”.

Asked about the possible dates of arrival of these products in our country, without mentioning specific dates, Aguilar commented: “Many of these innovations will arrive in Mexico this year”.
