Hydrogen-based truck enters production and will be on the tracks this year

Tevva, a British company, will be the first to be able to carry a electric truck hydrogen-based to the slopes. And it is that it has received permission to put this delivery vehicle into operation in the United Kingdom, so this year it will start production.

This is how hydrogen is already closer to being a reality, as a “zero emission” vehicle. Tevva’s plan is to reach 1,000 units awarded for this model by 2023, and then reach a continental level.

The company is not new to this technology, reported the Hybrid and Electric page. Its prototypes have been in circulation since last 2019, for its fine-tuning and development.

What does this electric vehicle offer? It has a battery of just 105 kWh that generates a range of 225 kilometers per charge. That is why it will be a short route vehicle. But its recharge time is 5 hours, to reach 90%, with a power of 22kW.

With the hydrogen cell its performance is doubled. According to the aforementioned media, the vehicle can reach 570 kilometers of autonomy, making it more useful. The first model will be a 7.5-tonne delivery truck.
