Heat wave: they invent some insoles that work like ‘air conditioning’ on the feet

The new one heat wave unleashed in the northern hemisphere of the planet makes the daily life of many people who have to work on the streets unbearable. Even if you wear cool clothes, what happens to your feet? For that there is a invention which promises to reduce the temperature by up to 4 degrees.

It is a template. Yes, as simple as a template. And it is that clothing that maintains freshness has already been created, however, something specific had not yet been designed on the feet. For this reason, 5 years ago the industrial engineer Bruno Aubert began to look for a solution for which he founded the company SoleCooler.

The result has been the Climfeet, insoles designed to cool the feet by up to 4 degrees, which do not require batteries and work while walking or running. But it can also be used for heating.

The secret of the template is in its design and material. (Photo: elespanol.com)

It was presented at CES 2023, reported the El Español-Omicrono page, and, due to the extreme situation in Europe and other countries that are going through the summer, it has gained notoriety.

But its purpose was not this context. According to its inventor, the insoles were designed to help people with diseases such as diabetes or anemia, who often have cold feet, in rehabilitation issues and in jobs with extreme temperatures.

How does it work? The insole is designed as a thermoregulatory solution that only uses the mechanical energy of the foot when walking, the so-called Carnot cycle used by air conditioners. The entire mechanism is in the same template that has 260 miniature heat pumps, made up of two cells or hexagonal-shaped alveoli.
