Technological garbage, the new gold mine with which you can earn up to 80 thousand euros a day

How many times a year do you change smartphone, tablet, computer, camera, speaker, television? Believe it or not, all of those devices that you no longer use have become a gold mine for others.

The so-called technological garbage has been accumulating in recent years. According to the United Nations, in 2018 the figure of 50 million tons of electronic waste was reached worldwide.

Nowadays, devices that end up in the trash are changed more often, but some companies have already found a way to create a profitable business in recycling.

Report from the Computer Hoy page points out that this waste is composed of plastic and metals that take hundreds or thousands of years to degrade, but that are quite in demand. Additionally, some are toxic.

Of the total electronic waste, only 15% is recycled. But this could change with the model followed by companies like Mint Innovation, in Sydney, Australia, and which has led it to earn 80,000 euros a day.

For this, the company has an automatic recycling system and a large number of scrapyards throughout the country. This is a startup that detailed the benefits of its method to Business Insider.

Although the process is 100% automatic, Mint Innovation has an entire recycling chain so it has thousands of workers in charge of searching for and dismantling this electronic waste. More companies are likely to follow this model.
