MWC 2024: Intel presents the new Core Ultra processors with artificial intelligence

Intel has presented its new Intel vPro platform with which, together with Intel Core Ultra processors, it will help improve the level of productivity, as well as the security, manageability and computing stability of IT organizations.

This was announced by the technology company within the framework of the Mobile World Congress technology event, which is being held this week in Barcelona, where it has also highlighted the improved features of its Intel Core Ultra processors, which were launched in December of last year.

As the company explained in a statement, the new chips, which have Artificial Intelligence (AI) integrated, “they will mark the beginning of new PC experiences for enterprises, SMBs, the public sector and the edge”.

This is because they have dedicated AI acceleration capacity, distributed across the central processing unit (CPU), the graphics processing unit (GPU), and the new neural processing unit (NPU). Thanks to this, commercial PCs will support everyday applications, as well as a “new wave of AI experiences.”

INTEL VPRO PLATFORM

Likewise, the technology company has presented its new Intel vPro platform with which, as it has stressed, “extends the benefits of PCs with AI to commercial customers.” It is a platform that, together with Intel Core Ultra processors, guarantees a productive, secure, manageable and stable base. for commercial client computing.

In terms of productivity improvements, the Intel vPro platform takes advantage of the full benefits of the company’s latest processors to achieve up to 47 percent more productivity in office applications, compared to computers from three years ago.

Following this line, the new platform offers more security, since it has threat detection technology, designed to take advantage of the NPU to improve the efficiency of anomaly detection and reduce energy consumption.

In fact, Intel has shared that the new Intel Silicon Security Engine is capable of authenticating system firmware to “help protect against cyber threats beneath the operating system (OS).”

On the other hand, in terms of manageability, the platform also integrates Intel Device Discovery technology, a new option with which cloud-based tools can receive the information necessary to take appropriate actions on a computer.

Likewise, the vPro platform has the new Intel Device Health system with VMware and Eclypsium, which helps organizations understand the need for fleet patches.

Finally, in terms of stability, the Stable IT program, which is part of the vPro platform, allows IT organizations to carry out “frictionless” operating system transitions, while validating and ensuring compatibility with Windows 10 and eleven.

With all this, Intel has recalled that it will offer “more than 100 laptop designs”, with 2-in-1 models, desktops and basic workstations from partners such as Acer, ASUS, Dell Technologies, Dynabook, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, LG, Microsoft Surface, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung and VAIO.
