Can AI fight child pornography? Pornhub includes a ‘chatbot’ to avoid this content

The artificial intelligence (AI) It could become a new option to fight against child pornography, outside of the misuse that has been given to it by creating images that violate the privacy of some women.

This option arises with the use of a chatbot created by the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), a non-profit organization from the United Kingdom, and the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, also dedicated to fighting this scourge.

According to the El Español Omícrono page, the well-known Pornhub page already has this tool to detect when a user searches for content related to child abuse.

But this option not only stops the search attempt, but also shows services for these people to receive professional help.

The report indicates that during the first 30 days of testing, more than 173,000 users have been detected performing these searches.

How does it work? Through the use of keywords, the system detects the search and the user appears a pop-up window directly on the screen. The chatbot in question asks the user a series of questions and explains that what they are looking for may be illegal.
