The family pointed out that the girl was declared brain dead and will be disconnected from the artificial respirator that still keeps her alive.

“As a father, I know that he died in my arms last night. Right when the shooting happened. He is brain dead. She is going to be disconnected soon, the doctors are only helping her breathe with machines at the moment ”, The father of the minor Armando Álvarez told Unisivion.

After a meeting of specialists held on February 15, it was pointed out that it was best to disconnect it soon.

For their part, authorities said the man suspected of shooting at the minor’s family’s car has been arrested and faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He so far he has not been identified.

The shooting occurred on Monday, February 14 at 9:45 p.m. when a man was making a transaction at an ATM, a subject approached him and robbed him.

The suspect fled the scene and began shooting in the air, now the authorities do not know this robbery has anything to do with the stray bullet that hit the girl.

Given what happened, the family took the girl to the Memory Hermann hospital in critical condition.
